Baby Norah... 4 months old!

Ice Storm Snapshots

We spent Friday afternoon driving around town looking at the damage from the ice storm. Here are a few snapshots from today:

Ice Storm!

Northwest Arkansas has suffered a devastating ice storm this week. Power was out to about 300,000 people, us included. Almost every tree is down near where we live. Many streets are closed due to downed trees and power lines. I haven't seen the rest of NWA yet but Fayetteville is a big mess! Kori and the kids left Monday morning to head south to her parent's house where they have heat/power. After one freezing night at home, I decided to go join them!

Our office is closed until further notice. If you are ready to book us to photograph your wedding, please call Jason on his cell phone at 479-466-1356. For all other matters we will call you back once power is restored and we are back at work.

We were able to find some beauty within the storm too...

Common Grounds

Kori and Jason will be taking over Common Grounds Coffee House in Fayetteville to show our photography April 1 - July 1. Kori will be showing photographs form her "light painting" series and Jason will be showing his black and white photography. Come by this Spring and take a look!

London Gallery Showing...

We learned today that one of our fine art black & white photographs will be displayed at the Idea Generation Gallery in London, England in March. The gallery only chose 60 images out of 2500 recently submitted to a competition, so we are honored to be included. Proceeds from the sale of prints at this exhibition go to the Lavender Trust at Breast Cancer Care; the only organization in England devoted to the treatment of breast cancer in younger women. The image will also be published in a hardbound book which will showcase the images from the exhibit. For more information and to see the image, go to our black and white photography blog.

Little Rock Bridal Fair

Wow... we spoke to almost 500 brides on Sunday who are planning their weddings at a bridal fair in Little Rock. We brought Norah with us for her inaugural bridal fair. She thought it was kind of fun, but then somehow slept through loud music and hundreds and brides.

Engagement in Black & White

Erica lives in Paris, France and Sal lives in Austin, and the two are having us photograph their wedging in New York City this Spring. We met up with them here in Arkansas in December. It was a very cold, windy day but the couple was great about it. With the mostly white backgrounds we found and their black clothing, these pictures seemed to really work well in black & white.

2009 is filling up!

Congratulations to Melissa + Kerry, getting married on May 8, 2009, also congrats to Amber + Michael marrying on June 6, 2009, and to Cassie and Eric having a wedding on July 24, 2009. A big thanks to Brooke and Wesley for booking us for their wedding on November 28, 2009 in Little Rock. These are the latest Hudson brides and grooms!

We are getting emails daily for 2009 dates and are starting to get a lot of inquiries for 2010. If you are wanting us to photograph your wedding this year or next, now is the time to contact us!

The state's largest bridal fair - January 18

We will have booth at the state's largest bridal fair on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. Baby Norah...

A couple of new pictures of our baby Norah from this morning. Yes, this picture has been done a million times, but never of OUR baby :-)

Gotta love the bow...

We are proud to have two weddings that we photographed published in the January issue of CitiScapes magazine!

Several area wedding professionals used our pictures in their ads:

Shoot Days Announced

Jason is scheduling some "shoot days" in Little Rock and Oklahoma City for the convenience of our clients in those areas to get engagement and bridal pictures made. So far we have:

Little Rock: Tuesday, April 7 and Tuesday, June 9, 2009.
Oklahoma City: Tuesday, May 5, 2009

Jason can shoot your engagement and/or bridal pictures regardless if he or Kori is shooting your wedding... this will save you a trip to Fayetteville and there are no travel fees on "shoot days." Its a great reason to take off of work. Tell the boss you are sick and come join the fun! Email Jason to schedule a time.
