A nice thank you.....

We received this email today and it reminded us of why we love photographing weddings!

I've been meaning, for quite some time, to write you and tell you how appreciative Matthew and I are of your bringing our wedding pictures to us on Christmas Eve. It truly was one of the best Christmas gifts we've ever received. It was so very kind and considerate of you to give up some of your precious family time on such a wonderful holiday to bring us our photos so that we wouldn't miss them by mail. I must tell you that my mother and mother-in-law were both extremely excited. You are both very talented professionals as shown by your work; however, the compassion you both show to the people you photograph is very uplifting, seldom seen and a large part, in my opinion, of what makes you "simply the best". Out of all the people we worked with in order to have our big day, you were the most professional and compassionate and provided us with considerable help that wasn't expected. Thank you, Thank you! I know my mom has already begun campaigning her sisters to use your company for their own daughters' future weddings.

Getting personal...

Kori's venture into "personal" photography is really taking off. She's booked a lot of shoots already. Seems like a lot of women want intimate yet artistically tasteful photos of themselves, but they just didn't know where to go. To view the portfolio or book a shoot, visit hudsonpersonal.com

Here we grow again...

I hate cliches, and especially that one, but it seems to fit. We've contracted with Amelia Phillips, who is a photojournalist with the Arkansas-Democrat Gazette to be an associate photographer for 2007 weddings. Her fiance Dan is about to come on board also.

All packages incude two photographers regardless of who the main photographer is. When we book our first wedding for any date, Jason and Kori are the two photographers. If we book a second wedding for the same date, Kori or Amelia are the main photograpehrs and our team of second photographers step up to assist each lead photographer.

I know it's confusing, but bottom line is we have up to four lead photographers and a talented team of second photographers. So even if you see your date listed on our 2007 weddings page, go ahead and give as a call or drop us an email as we can probably handle your wedding too!

We've had cancellations for March 17 and March 24 of this year. If you're planning a last minute wedding, we now have those dates available.

Strike a pose!

Although weddings are the main driving force behind my photography, as a "creative outlet" I like to shoot fashion-y type images. I haven't shot anything like this in a year or so, but tonight was the night to have some fun.

No longer a secret!

We've been waiting anxiously for Julee and Matt's wedding this past weekend. We made such great bridal fashion images of Julee a month or so back, but we had to keep them a secret so Matt wouldn't see her dress. Their wedding this past weekend was awesome, and I can now show you some of these images. Isn't she beautiful!!!

Bridal Fair Video

Nothing fancy; just a couple of minutes of clips from a bridal fair we participated in this part Sunday. We shared space with Rick and Debbie from Cineast Films. This bridal fair was held this past Sunday January 14 at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. Click below to watch.

In the fog...

After the bridal fair in Little Rock that we participated in Sunday evening, we stopped by the capitol building to make this picture. I always enjoy photographing in the rain and fog, as it gives ordinary objects a different look.

Attention Central Arkansas Brides!

The annual Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Bridal Fair is Sunday January 14 starting at 1pm. We will have a booth there next to Cineast Films. The bridal fair website is http://www.arkansasonline.com/bridalfair/

Hope to see you there!!!

Sand Angel

Here are a couple of photos I took of Kori in the White Sands National Monument in New Mexico!

Be sure to check out the photos of Megan and Ryan's wedding that we photographed in Phoenix this past weekend!

Latest bookings....

Congratulatons to our newest Hudson Photography couples!

Christine and Andy are getting married on September 8, 2007 in Fayetteville. Jason and one of our second photographers will cover that one. On the same date, Kori and a second photographer will trek down to Hooks, Texas to photograph Whitney and Matt's wedding.

Congratulations to you both!

Greetings from Arizona!

Kori and I are in Phoenix this weekend to photograph Megan and Ryan's wedding. We decided to make a road trip out of it so we could see some sights along the way. After a visit Thursday to Santa Fe, New Mexico, we stopped Friday at the White Sands National Monument near Las Cruces, New Mexico. It's almost 300 square miles of white sand dunes. Cool!

Megan and Ryan are having an outdoor ceremony at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix later this afternoon. Check back soon for photos from their wedding!
