New front page image

The image on the front page of my website this week is from Traci and Bryan's wedding on Saturday, May 27, 2006, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

The bride wore the hot pink shoes you see in this photo... It's the third set of unique bridal footwear I've seen this month! It seems to be a fun way for my brides to express themselves. What a great trend!

Congratulations Traci and Bryan!

The cutest thing!

During Sarah and Chris' wedding on May 20, this little flower girl got all embarrassed as she entered the Church. At first I thought she was crying, but then I realized she was giggling uncontrollably!

Just after that little girl made it down the aisle, along camethis
little cutie yelling "Hello!!!"

This was one processional I will never forget!

Named in Top 50 Photographers!

What do you do when it's 3 a.m. and you can't sleep? Why you "google" yourself of course! In doing that I came across a page where I was named one of the Top 50 photographers in the USA by Photo District News Magazine. They are a national publication read mostly by commercial and portrait photographers; available at Hasting's or Barnes and Noble. This honor was given out in 2005 I believe. Here's the link to my feature.

Congrats Tasha and Colby!

Congratulations to Tasha and Colby. They were married among the grape leaves at Wiederkehr Wine Cellars in Altus, Arkansas, on Saturday, May 13. It was an absolutely glorious day for a wedding!

See their wedding collage here!

My wedding coverage of Tina and Jeff's wedding (May 7, 2005) has been featured in the current issue of At Home in Arkansas Weddings. Congratulations Tina and Jeff!

Giving back...

I have been blessed over the years with the ability to do something that I love for a living. I've been given so many wonderful brides and grooms to work with, and every year is better and busier than the year before. I'm in my ninth year now of documenting weddings, and although we've always done favors for local charities, I felt like it was time I organize my efforts even more. I'd like to announce a new endeavor from me called "Photos From the Heart."

This program will be two fold. One, it will provide complimentary photography for local charities and for those in need, and also I will be donating several wedding packages a year based on financial need through an application process. If you work with a charity let me know and I will send you more information as I get it available. Watch this space for more news on this exciting project; my way of giving back to my wonderful community!
