Kori and I had the pleasure of watching the Razorbacks beat out ORU on Friday night from the Chancellor's Sky Box. It was a nice perk having your own private fridge, catering and restroom during the game!
What are these guys looking at?
Half time show:
Steven Hill doing what he does best:
And the final score as we sent ORU back to T-Town!
We are very pleased to announce Amelia Phillips as our associate wedding photographer for 2007! Amelia is an award-winning photojournalist with the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. After browsing her portfolio, I am confident that you'll see that her style of wedding photography fits right in line with ours! If Jason + Kori are already booked on your wedding date, Amelia is available to photograph your wedding. After making the images, she hands them over to me and I do all the same retouching/artwork as I do to my own images. That way, the final look of your wedding photographs is of the same quality, regardless if it was photographed by Jason or Amelia. Again, congratuions to us for obtaining such a talented wedding photographer to photograph with us!!!
We had a cancellation for March 24, 2007. For those of you that have contacted us about this date in the past, we just wanted to let you know it is now available.
Congratulations to Emily and John! They have reserved Kori and I to photograph their wedding on March 17, 2007 in Fayetteville. Our '07 dates are filling up fast! Congrats again Emily and John!
I'm not much of a believer in ghosts, but today I was going through some photos I took at Lisa and Sean's recent wedding at the Crescent Hotel, and I think I see what could be ghosts. I'm not going to say they are; I only present the evidence and will let you make up your own mind.

You'll notice some new items added in our online proofing system. This will give you many more options for your engagement, bridal, and wedding photo orders. One thing we've added is the ability to purchase a high resoltion JPEG of any image and have it emailed to you. This is useful when you need to send digital images to a newspaper for an announcement, or for emailing photos to friends and family. Also if you're having a person or company design your invitations, programs, thnak you cards, etc. you'll find the digital download system very easy to use and your designer will appreciate it too.
We've also added "fine art prints." These acid-free and lignin-free archival photographs are printed on the finest fiber art paper, have torn edges, and are float matted and ready for framing. Also available are archival canvas prints that are gallery wrapped on a wooden stretcher frame and shipped to you ready for framing.
Becky got married back in June of this year, and today we met up for some bridal portraits. We didn't do anything too crazy, but since she was already married, she definitely wasn't worried about getting her dress dirty! At one point I had her sitting on an old radiator in an alley downtown. Thanks Becky for being so cool!
Last night (11/18/06) was the first night for "Lights of the Ozarks" on the Fayetteville Square. We were photographing Molly & Coy's wedding reception at the Fayetteville Town Center on the square, and I just had to take them out into the cold for a little while to get some photos with the lights. Congratulations Molly & Coy!
We're heading into what is known in the wedding industry as the "off season." We have a few select dates open. We have very special pricing incentives available to any weddings happening now through the end of February. This is something we do every year to fill up the rest of our dates during the off season. Please call us toll free at 1-888-391-9907 for more details!
A common question we get from our wedding clients is "do you photograph babies?" Although I strictly focus on wedding photography, my wife Kori has revamped our baby photography, called Hudson Life Photography.
Click here to check out the website and all the adorable kiddos!
Kori also offers maternity photos, in case you ever find your self in need of that!
I have several photos featured on a new website called Trash The Dress. The site is devoted to images from photographers who have photographed a bride "trashing" her wedding dress, usually on a day after the wedding. Brides can be photographed trashing their dresses by wading in water, rolling around in the dirt, or anythis else you can dream of. The idea behind this is that in all realtiy, your future daughter will not want to wear your wedding dress when she gets married. (Have you ever seen a 30 year old wedding dress, really?) So then what are you saving it for? Trash it! I offer these sessions at no cost. Please contact me if you'd like to set one up. It's a great way to unwind after your wedding experience!
If you are waiting on your wedding photographs and CDs... please rest assured that we are working on them every day. Our associate Yerby got way behind in his editing so I had him bring us all of his master discs. Besides the weddings that Kori and I have photographed together, we are editing all of Yerby's weddings going back several months. We sent out six orders last week and we have about 18 weddings to go until we are caught up. Our goal is to have everything edited, retouched, printed, burned, and shipped out of our office by the end of this month, Nov. 30th. If you haven't sent us your current address since you were married, please be sure to do that so that we will know where to ship your photos and CDs to once they are ready.
Remember, these are photos you will have for the rest of your life. I would rather you wait three or four months and let us work on them and make them look their best, as opposed to us rushing them and making them look sloppy.
Thank you for your patience!
Jason + Kori
These photos were all taken within an hour from each other on Rich Mountain near Mena, Arkansas on October 27, 2006. Just thought I would share them here. A couple of Kori and then some random images.
I don't mean to brag, but I just love getting comments like this in my email. Especially from people I don't even know. I guess we're doing something right! Today I recieved the following message:
Beautiful Brides Inc.
When couples and/or their parent's share comments like this with me, it really reminds me why I am a wedding photographer in the first place:
Jason and Kori - thank you so much for photographing Brent's and Megan's wedding. I just can't imagine trusting my first born to anyone else. The previews are amazing as anticipated! You two are a great match and I look forward to watching your business continue to boom.
I have been absent form the blog the past couple of weeks. We have been swamped!
We are getting all moved in to our new house. Look for new pictures here soon!
Spring used to be the busy "wedding season" but now it's the fall by far! We photographed two uber-cool outdoor weddings this past weekend. We were in Hooks, Texas on Saturday and in Little Rock, Arkansas on Sunday. Keep watching for some amazing photos from these two funky couples!
We are in the process of changing our email addresses so we can check it easier when we travel.
To reach Jason/Hudson Photography, please send emails to: jason at hudsonphotos.com
To reach David Yerby, please email him at yerbyphoto at gmail.com
Use the "@" sign instead of "at." I have to type it here that way to avoid the spambots from finding me!
We just got word yesterday (10/11) that our new home is ready for us to move in to. The movers are here now loading up our things, and we can't wait to be in the new house!
Our phones and email will be off sometime between now and Monday (10/16). Please be patient with us over the weekend as we move both our home and office to a new location in Fayetteville. Our new office will allow us to work more efficiently, thus getting your wedding photos and albums to you sooner. Have a great weekend! We'll be back in business on Monday!
I wrote yesterday that fall was approaching as the leaves on one of our tress were changing colors. So much for that, we have snowflakes and heavy sleet falling right now at our home in north Fayetteville. So much for global warming!
Kori and I attended the "Wedding March" over this past weekend. It held at the beautiful Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York city.
Here's famed wedding designer Colin Cowie and myself:
Colin Cowie is getting ready to have a new line of his designs in all Wal-Mart stores.
Here's me with wedding dress designers Michelle Roth and brother Henry Roth:
We went over to 53rd and Broadway to watch a taping for the Late Show with David Letterman. The "strongest man in the world" turned over this car several times using only his hands and strength. Kori is crouched down on the front row snapping a photo. If you saw the show and squinted real hard, you could see her on mational TV! (I am somewhere on the back row).
We're in New York attending the Wedding March. We've gotten to meet some awesome brides from all over the US, as well as wedding planners from New York and beyond. We also got to meet Colin Cowie, Henry Roth, Michelle Roth, as well the editor's of Modern Bride, Brides and Elegant Bride magazines. We'll be posting more photos soon!
Kori and I were invited to the VIP Grand Opening party for the Pinnacle Hills Promenade on Tuesday night. On the way over there I said "hey, maybe someone can snap a picture of you and me while we're there." Not only did we get a picture of us both, but little did I know that Wayne Newton would be standing between us! Weird!
